What book have you read where the movie was better?
Although “The Great Gatsby” is a classic and I did enjoy the book, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s writing is a little dry for me. The Baz Luhrmann 2013 film was bright, lively and exciting — everything “The Great Gatsby” was supposed to be — and brought Fitzgerald’s story to life in a way I didn’t think imaginable.
Bad play experience?
In kindergarten, I was in a play although I can’t remember the name. All I remember is being terrified. I was forcibly cast as a tree and had to make the costume myself. Not a pleasant experience.

What book have you read where the movie was better?
Basically any and all of the Harry Potter books, and I am not looking for a fight about that.
Bad play experience?
In high school, I was on the crew of my school’s one act competition group. During one competition that was open to both high schools and community theaters, my friends and I mistakenly attended a VERY raunchy and poorly-written play by one of the community theater troupes. It was scarring.

What book have you read where the movie was better?
Holes the book was ehhh. Holes the movie deserves a nobel prize. Shia LaBeouf was a legend before Hollywood took his soul.
Bad play experience?
I had a scene with my crush in the 5th grade school play. She forgot her lines and stormed off the stage crying. I had no idea how to react, and started to fumble my lines as I began to panic. Most terrifying five minutes of my life.

What book have you read where the movie is better?
I can’t think of one off the top of my head. I will say the first Harry Potter movie has a special and very nostalgic place in my heart.
Bad play experience:
I was in a high school production of “Footloose” and was in a scene where the main character got slapped — stage slapped, of course. It was supposed to be a serious moment, but the actor doing the slap fumbled and the audience laughed instead. Yikes.
